Objective 1:
Securing Game Boundaries to Prevent Player Exploits
In the client’s product, maintaining immersion and fairness requires strict control over playable areas. Ensuring players stay within intended boundaries is critical to the game’s integrity and design vision.
Players discovered ways to bypass level boundaries, escaping the designed play area. This not only disrupted gameplay but also risked preventing players from progressing.
Our QA team conducted extensive exploratory testing focused specifically on boundary exploits. We identified every possible method players could use to get out of bounds and documented these thoroughly for the development team.
Using our detailed findings, the developers implemented robust fixes that eliminated all known boundary exploits. This reinforced gameplay fairness and preserved the intended player experience throughout the game world.

Objective 2:
Detecting and Eliminating Speedrun Exploits for Fair Play
A competitive speedrunning community was created around the game, where players strived to achieve the fastest completion times. Maintaining a level playing field was essential for this competitive aspect.
Some players exploited a vulnerability in the training grounds, unfairly improving their speedrun times and undermining competitive integrity.
Our testers carefully analyzed player behavior and game mechanics within the training grounds. They successfully pinpointed the exploit method and communicated it promptly to the development team.
Thanks to our findings, the developers swiftly patched the vulnerability. This restored fair competition, maintaining player trust and supporting a healthy speedrunning community.
Objective 3:
Ensuring Save File Compatibility Across Game Versions
The game was releasing regular updates and expansions. Preserving player progress through save file compatibility was vital for player retention and satisfaction.
Compatibility issues arose between older save files and newer game versions, leading to corrupted or lost progress and frustrating players.
Our QA specialists rigorously tested legacy save files on the latest builds, carefully tracking failures and anomalies. Detailed reports and logs were provided to developers to facilitate precise fixes.
The development team resolved compatibility problems, ensuring smooth save file transitions across updates. This improved player confidence, reduced negative feedback, and contributed to a more stable game experience.
