Project Description
Golf VS Zombies is an arcade golf simulator with RPG elements which combines golfing precision with action-packed combat against the undead. Grab your clubs and get in your golf cart, for in this zombie apocalypse, there is only golf.
Objective 1:
Balancing Multiple Routes for Consistent Gameplay Challenge
In the client’s product, each level featured multiple possible routes for players to complete objectives. These alternative paths were designed to vary in difficulty, offering players unique challenges and replay value.
Despite careful design intentions, the difficulty across different routes was inconsistent. Some paths were unintentionally easier or harder than planned, creating an uneven player experience and potentially diminishing strategic choices.
Our QA testers methodically played through every level multiple times, exhaustively exploring each route. They documented detailed feedback on the difficulty, pacing, and player experience for all variants. This enabled the development team to understand imbalance patterns and adjust level design accordingly.
Thanks to our targeted insights, the developers refined the difficulty curve, delivering a more balanced and engaging experience across all routes. Players now enjoy meaningful choices that align with intended challenges, enhancing overall satisfaction and replayability.

Objective 2:
Diagnosing and Resolving Wind and Physics System Malfunctions
The client integrated dynamic wind and physics systems to enrich environmental interaction and immersion. These systems played a crucial role in gameplay mechanics and visual effects.
Players and testers reported erratic behavior in the wind and physics systems, including inconsistent object movement and visual glitches that detracted from immersion.
Our QA team worked closely with the developers to investigate the root causes. Through collaborative debugging sessions and iterative testing, we isolated the specific physics interactions causing malfunctions, enabling the developers to implement effective fixes.
The development team significantly improved environmental realism and gameplay fluidity. Players experienced smoother, more believable physics effects that enhanced immersion and satisfaction.
Objective 3:
Enhancing Performance Across Hardware Spectrum
The product included performance issues during its later chapters, affecting player enjoyment and accessibility, particularly on lower-spec hardware.
Performance slowdowns and stuttering in advanced game stages risked alienating a segment of the player base and impacting reviews.
We conducted extensive performance testing on a wide range of devices, from high-end gaming desktops to entry-level laptops. By profiling frame rates, load times, and memory usage, we delivered documented feedback on bottlenecks and areas for optimization.
Following our recommendations, the development team optimized resource management and rendering processes. This resulted in smoother gameplay, reduced lag, and a more consistent experience for players regardless of their hardware setup.
