About Jumbo Jelly
Jumbo Jelly is a PC game QA studio with indie-studio roots, founded by JJ (Jean Jarques). We have tested 25+ Steam releases. This site is also our “Steam ship desk”: what we learn about getting a game out on Steam, written down with numbers and sources.
Who runs this site, and what we sell
The site is run by a company that sells QA testing: a Smoke Test for €290, a Launch Health Check for €590 and ongoing QA from around €1,000 a month. Articles, checklists and tools link to those offers, and the links are marked so we can count them. That is the whole business model; there are no ads, no affiliate links and no sponsored posts.
The data on Steam launches in numbers comes only from public Steam endpoints and is published under CC BY 4.0, including the script that produces it. We never name a studio with fewer than 200 reviews, and we keep a neutral line on AI in production: we measure disclosure rates, we do not judge them.
JJ, founder and author
Jean Jarques founded Jumbo Jelly and leads testing. JJ writes the articles and signs off on every number. Biography and contact are on the author page.
Patryk, editor and data editor
Patryk edits the articles and compiles the monthly editions of the Steam Launch Bug Index: he runs the script, checks the aggregates against the raw data, and writes the method notes. Editions carry the byline “data compiled by Patryk”.
How the content is made
- Every number has a source we opened, linked where it appears, or is labelled “editorial estimate”.
- Drafts are produced with AI assistance and checked by JJ before publication; the footer says so on every page.
- Claims about specific games come only from the four public case studies or from public Steam data.
- Each article shows a publication date and an update date. Prices on this site were last checked on 27 October 2026.
