Steam Deck Verified
Also called: Deck Verified, Steam Deck compatibility
Deck Verified is Valve's top Steam Deck compatibility rating, given when a game passes all checks and needs no configuration from the player.

Steam Deck Verified is one of four compatibility categories Valve shows on store pages: Verified, Playable, Unsupported and Unknown. Valve defines Verified as a game that passes all compatibility checks, with no configuration work needed for players to reach all game functionality (Steamworks documentation, partner.steamgames.com/doc/steamdeck/compat, accessed 27 Oct 2026).
Valve reviews five areas: input, performance, launch behaviour (no unsupported-device warnings), display and Proton support. The performance bar for the default configuration is 30 fps at 800p on Steam Deck, according to the same page. Common reasons for landing on Playable are keyboard glyphs shown on a controller, text too small to read on the 7-inch screen, or a launcher that needs a mouse.
QA checks the same list before submission. Testers play with controller only from first launch to the end of the tutorial, check every glyph and on-screen keyboard prompt, measure frame rate in the heaviest scenes and read the smallest font at handheld distance. The result is a short list of fixes that stand between Playable and Verified.
